ᰔ Hi girlies! July Deadlines You Don’t Want to Miss (Scholarships + Free Travel!)
The newsletter for the girlies with college and career advice!

ᰔ ฅ՞•ﻌ•՞ฅ Hi girlies!
Okay, real talk. You’ve probably seen us post about “all-expenses-paid” programs or scholarships with super niche eligibility, and maybe you’ve wondered… how do they even find these?? 😅
Here’s the truth: we dig. Like, really dig.
My laptop has 25+ tabs open at all times—fellowship pages, nonprofit newsletters, even random old college PDFs from 2021. I check corporate DEI pages, LinkedIn job boards, and niche orgs that don’t always show up in Google searches. I look for things that aren’t already blowing up on social media.
We look for:
Fully funded = $0 to attend
Free travel, hotel, or stipend
Open to high school or college students (esp. first-gen or low-income)
Real application process, not just a giveaway
Sometimes we reach out directly to the orgs or dig through subpages most people never see. I keep a running list of places that usually launch cool stuff in summer, and when deadlines are close—I flag them for you.
So if you ever feel like “I don’t know what to apply to” or “it’s probably too competitive,” just know: the hardest part is often finding the opportunity. And we already did that for you 💅
Now it’s your turn to show up 💖
P.S. $500 National Essay Competition closes July 10th!

Advice Column 💌
How We Actually Find These Fully Funded Programs + other opportunities
I get this question a lot: "How do you even find these fully funded programs?"
The truth is—it’s a mix of deep research, digital sleuthing, and knowing where to look. Not everything is easy to Google, especially scholarships and programs that don’t have fancy websites. So here’s how we actually find and verify the best opportunities for you every week:
🧠 How We Search:
Google Advanced Search with keywords like:
"all expenses paid program site:.org"
"fully funded leadership summit 2025"
"college internship with stipend"
(Then sort by Tools → Past Month to get fresh results.)Facebook Groups like Scholarships for College Students or First-Gen Opportunities—people often drop niche or under-the-radar programs here.
Reddit threads like r/scholarships and r/college—just filter by New or Top This Month for real-time leads.
X (Twitter) using phrases like “student summit open now”, “DEI program 2025”, or “paid student fellowship”, then sort by Latest to catch them early.
LinkedIn—we search early-career program, student opportunity, or summer experience, and filter Posts by Latest. Also helpful to check company pages (Spotify, Google, McKinsey) where they quietly announce invite-only programs.
You’ve probably noticed that a lot of the scholarships we post come in screenshot form—and there’s a reason for that!
Many small orgs, newer nonprofits, or student-led initiatives don’t have full websites or dedicated pages for their scholarships. Instead, they post them as:
Instagram flyers or story slides
Canva graphics
Google Docs or Drive links
Screenshots on group chats or Facebook posts
These aren’t SEO-optimized, which means Google can’t find them in search. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is what makes a website or page show up in search results. But when details are inside an image or PDF, search engines can’t "read" them—so they’re basically invisible unless you’re already following the right page.
That’s why:
We screenshot them, re-share with clear text, deadlines, and eligibility
We give context (who it’s for, what’s included, is it legit?)
And we include them in our newsletter so you get access even if you missed the original post
✨ In other words: we make low-visibility scholarships visible—especially the ones that should be getting attention but aren’t.

(paid promotion)
✨ We usually don’t promote no-essay scholarships, but I personally spoke with the ScholarshipOwl team and they were really kind. They actually have 4 real winners every month, and students have used the funds for college, food, and even vet school! The $50,000 ScholarshipOwl No Essay Scholarship is open now and super easy to apply for — no GPA, no essay, just a quick form.
