ᰔ ฅ՞•ﻌ•՞ฅ Hi girlies!

The layout looks a little different this time, but don’t worry, the content is exactly the same! We’re experimenting with a new design to see if it makes things easier to follow and more enjoyable to read. Our goal is to organize the information in a way that feels more accessible, doable, and user-friendly, so you can quickly find what matters most.

Your feedback means a lot to us ! if this format feels clearer and more helpful, let us know! And if you prefer the old design, we’re happy to go back. We’re always working to improve the way we share opportunities, so thank you for being part of the process.

In Person Event!

Pineapple Women, and the City of LA Economic Workforce Development Department as they share insights on:

  • Current challenges + opportunities in tech development

  • Industry needs and training programs available locally

  • How organizations are collaborating to strengthen the LA tech ecosystem

This is not just another networking event. It’s a hands-on space designed to give you tools, confidence, and connections to take your next step.

Advice column

You can always tell when work was rushed. The flow feels off, small mistakes sneak in, and the final product does not feel polished. I have been guilty of it too. The good news is that rushed work can be avoided with habits that protect your focus.

Here are 10 strategies that actually work:

  1. Work backwards from the deadline. Give yourself a fake deadline a few days earlier so there is time to refine.

  2. Outline before you write. Even five bullet points will save you from messy rewrites.

  3. Do a future you check. Ask yourself: If I read this in six months would I thank myself or be frustrated?

  4. Switch formats. Read the draft on your phone, export it to PDF, or print it. Errors show up differently when you change how you view the work.

  5. Name files clearly. A clean system for naming keeps you organized and makes edits easier.

  6. Time box your draft. Give yourself thirty minutes to get ideas out, step away, then return with fresh eyes.

  7. Stress test your work. Ask: What is the first question someone will ask after reading this? If the answer is missing, add it.

  8. Know your peak hours. Do important tasks during the times when your brain has the most energy.

  9. Keep a last check list. For me this means spelling names correctly, testing links, checking fonts, and saving the final version as a PDF.

  10. Read everything five times, especially emails. Once for typos, once for tone, once for flow, once for clarity, and once as if you are the recipient.

Slowing down is not wasted time. It is what makes your work thoughtful, clear, and worth sharing. People notice the difference.
