Our founder was the winner of the Bold Scholarship by GoSkills. GoSkills, similar to Coursera, offers certificate programs for skill training. They wanted to support Girls on Campus by giving away 5 one-year memberships to students interested in learning new skills. These certifications can be applied to internships, jobs, or even for high school students to explore career opportunities.
Anyone can apply! No purchase is necessary – if you win, we’ll just ask for your email to send over the membership details.

Advice column: How to get experince and skills being a freshman in college or HS student?
Experience can come from many places—whether you’re the president of a club, babysitting your siblings, or working a part-time job. However, when applying for internships, these experiences might not always be seen as "professional" experiences.
To make them more relevant on your resume, you’ll need to highlight the transferable skills you've gained. For instance, managing a club shows leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Babysitting can demonstrate responsibility, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
That said, while your personal or extracurricular activities provide great experience, it’s also important to actively seek opportunities that are more closely aligned with the professional world. If it's tough to find multiple jobs or internships, consider creating a spreadsheet of remote volunteer positions. In this case we have created one for you. ACCES HERE. These are often flexible and can give you valuable experience without a huge time commitment. There are also plenty of paid opportunities that allow you to gain experience while working around your schedule.
Another option is to join programs like mentorships, externships, or online courses that relate to your field of interest. Many organizations offer paid or unpaid internships, mentorships, or externships specifically for high school and college students. These programs provide hands-on experience, valuable networking, and mentorship—all of which can be essential as you start exploring your career path.
